Videoconferencing

UTSA's Institute of Texan Cultures can bring the museum to you! Our affordable videoconference programs include sessions that examine Texas history, American history, science, and a variety of interdisciplinary subjects to supplement formal K-12 curricula and professional development. Each session emphasizes an assortment of National Standards and Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) elements, runs 45-60 minutes, and highlights key topic concepts. Students and teachers actively participate in the discussion. Resource guides with pre/post information and activities are currently available for most programs.

Fee for Service
A fee of $150 USD will be assessed for each session/connection. The client is responsible for any additional line charges that may apply. We can support up to three schools for the single connection fee. The cost of a three-part series is $400. Please call (210) 458-2213 for custom session rates. You will be billed when your videoconference session is confirmed.

Our programs are very flexible! We provide year-round, on-demand sessions to fit individual class times and schedules. To schedule a videoconference, you may call (210) 458-2225 or click here to e-mail your request. Please be prepared to provide the following:

* Contact name
* Telephone number
* E-mail address
* Choice of program
* Date
* Time (please include time zone)
* Grade level
* Number of students or participants
* Special needs or requests

Technical
To ensure equipment compatibility, the following information and line tests are required before we can confirm your first conference with ITC:

* Your technical staff: Names, contact numbers, and e-mails
* Your videoconference phone number
* Your content staff: Names, contact numbers, and e-mails

Our videoconference hardware: Polycom ViewStation 512.
Hardware Speed is configured for a 384 kbps connection.
Connection is using Triple-BRI (3 ISDN line) H.320
videoconferencing standard.
